We use Magnesuim Chloride... top applied to roads. Mag is Hygroscopic and holds the water from the ground and overnight dew. This keeps the road acting wet, inhibits potholes and washboards.

First you water the road, driveway or parking lot. (You may need to roadgrade and prep it beforehand) then you follow with the liquid application of mag.
